The City of Saratoga Springs in New York has recently made a move towards being more energy-efficient by acquiring new LED cobra ad street lights. According to reports, this investment will save the city an estimated $270,000 annually.
Mayor Ron Kim expressed his delight with the purchase, highlighting that it will not only lead to energy savings but also significantly reduce street light energy consumption by up to 65%. This transition to LED technology is expected to enhance the safety and lighting conditions in the community. The installation of these energy-efficient lights is slated to be completed by June.
Additionally, the city will have the opportunity to explore other advanced technologies that can further improve public safety. This may include implementing "Smart City" technology, which includes the installation of cameras, traffic management devices to optimize traffic flow, and smart parking solutions that can be integrated with mobile applications.
